CULINARY TOURS
Day 01 :- Delhi ArrivalArrive Delhi. Transfer to hotel. Full day city tour Morning tour of Delhi. Visit Raj Ghat - the cremation sites of Mahatma Gandhi, Jama Masjid and drive past Red Fort and Chandni Chowk. Afternoon visit Qutub Minar built by Qutub-ud-Din Aibek in 1199, Humayun's Tomb, India Gate (War Memorial Arch ), Lakshminarayan Temple - a modern Hindu Temple. Also drive past President's House, Parliament House, Government Secretariat Buildings & Connaught Place shopping centre. Evening cooking demo followed by dinner. You will be served what you have learned to cook Overnight Delhi.
Day 02 :- Delhi => JaipurMorning drive to Jaipur. On arrival check in at hotel. Afternoon free. Overnight Jaipur. Evening cooking demo followed by dinner at the hotel.
Day 03 :- JaipurMorning visit Amber Fort. Amber Fort was the ancient capital of the State. Visit the Sheesh Mahal or the Hall of Victory glittering with mirrors. Afternoon tour of Jaipur. Jaipur - the capital of Rajasthan was given a colour coat of pink a century ago in honour of a visiting Prince and ever since, it has retained this colour. Built by Maharaja Jai Singh, the notable astronomer, this city is 260 years old. Visit Maharaja's City Palace, & the Observatory. Drive past Hawa Mahal & through the pink rose residential & business areas. Overnight Jaipur. Evening cultural evening including puppet show at Narayan Niwas Palace followed by a dinner
Day 04 :- Jaipur => AgraDrive to Agra visiting Fatehpur Sikri enroute. Fatehpur Sikri is 40 kms from Agra and built by Emperor Akbar in 1569 and abandoned after 15 years due to scarcity of water. See the graceful buildings including the Jama Masjid, Tomb of Salim Chisti, Panch Mahal and other Palaces.
Evening one hour show “Mohabbat the Taj” The Saga of love, is based on story behind the making of Taj Mahal. The eternal love story of Emperor Shahjahan and his beloved wife Mumtaj Mahal.
Overnight Agra. Day 05 :- AgraMorning visit world famous Taj Mahal built by Moghul Emperor Shahjehan in 1630 for his Queen Mumtaz Mahal to enshrine her mortal remains. Later visit the Agra Fort containing the Halls of Public and Private Audience.
Evening cooking demo followed by dinner at the hotel.
Day 06 :- Agra => Delhi & DepartureDrive to Delhi airport to board flight for onward journeyDay 01 :- Cochin Kumarakom Arrive Cochin and drive to Kumarakom. Transfer to hotel. Sunset cruise on a Rice Boat.
Evening cooking demo at the hotel.
Overnight Kumarakom.
Day 02 :- Kumarakom Morning short cruise to "Philip Kutty's Farm" (A small home stead on an island). See the cultivation of various tropical fruits and vegetables and also a short demo of simple home cooking. Visit and cooking Demo followed by lunch. Return to hotel. Overnight in Kumarakom
Day 03 :- Kumarakom Morning free. Afternoon demonstration of preparation of a "Sadhya" (vegetarian wedding feast) Lunch would be sadhya - food served on banana leaf (to be eaten by hand).
Evening cooking demo at the hotel.
Day 04 :- Kumarakom PeriyarDrive to Periyar via Manimala, near Kanjirappally Plantation visit followed by typical home lunch. Short demo of home cooked food. One can also avail the plucking, rubber tapping, toddy tapping, swimming in river Pampa.
Arrive Periyar and transfer to hotel. Evening cooking demo at the hotel.
Day 05 :- Periyar Morning visit Spice Plantation tour including Ayurvedic plants and Tea Plantation.
Evening boat ride on Lake Periyar. Evening cooking demo at the hotel.
Overnight in Periyar. Day 06 :- Periyar Morning free.
Evening cooking demo at the hotel. Day 07 :- Peryar Cochin Drive to Cochin and transfer to hotel.
Evening boat ride Day 08 :- Cochin Morning city tour of Cochin including the ancient Spice Market at Mattancherry and Chinese Fishing Nets. Proceed to Brunton Boatyard for a "History" lunch
Evening Kathakali performance. Overnight Cochin.
Day 09 :- Cochin Morning free.
Evening cooking demo in a private Kerela house followed by dinner. Day 10 :- Departure Cochin.Transfer to airport to board flight for onward journey
